He trained extensively to prepare himself for an intensive military program, completed the Spartan Race obstacle course series (Sprint, Super, Beast, and Ultra Beast), and completed many marathons and ultra marathons to include a 100-miler where he earned a third-place finish.

His approach is a wholistic one, drawing from his education in psychology and clinical practice, along with the hard earned lessons he learned in the weight room and on the trails.
His favorite projects include helping clients realize their goal of transitioning from an unhealthy lifestyle to one that is health promoting; a way of being they can feel proud about. He also enjoys coaching for extreme performances like Spartan Races, ultra marathons, and law enforcement and military prep.

Noteworthy Runs

One of my better runs during the peak of my training. Proud of this one.

A 212 mile attempt gone awry. Many lessons learned on this one.

Another training run.

Wanted to make the jump from 50's to the 100's. I have never felt more energetically drained after a race than when I crossed the finish line on this one for a 3rd place finish.

Training run after logging about 60 miles prior to.

Second attempt at a 50. Was able to compartmentalize the pain and out run about six additional racers during the last ~miles.

First attempt at a marathon (ultra). This one was characterized by by the early onset of brutal blisters on both feet. The most prolonged physically painful experience. Ended up walking backwards for about 8 miles due to the pain, but got the finish.

All was going well until 9+ miles of knee deep mud wore my tendons and muscles away. Continued until I could walk no more, and then walked some more. Up for over 30 straight with no sleep, (cool to know how far the body can go). Loved it.

Half-marathon in shorts and no shirt at 24 degrees; in a fasted state, mind stuff...

Marathon: No water; fasted state at 80+ degrees. Mind stuff...

Made this challenge up: No less than 10 miles a day for one month straight. A great exercise in discipline, learned a lot with this one. Took one day off as I was sick (wasn't happy about it).

Weighted vest run @20lbs. A new adaptation I'm working on... Not all runs are the same.
